Hi! I am so happy you are here. My name is Ariel (she/hers) and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois. I specialize in helping women overcome life's challenges, with a particular focus on self-empowerment and relationship dynamics. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change, and I am here to support you on your unique journey!
I utilize an integrative approach, emphasizing authenticity and curiosity through culturally informed and strengths-based frameworks. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals openly. Together, we will identify your strengths and work on developing new coping strategies to overcome obstacles. Additionally, as a biracial cis-gender female therapist, I am passionate about intersectionality, social justice, and empowering individuals and couples with marginalized identities. I am committed to creating environments that foster psychological safety and am uniquely skilled in facilitating identity exploration and healing from trauma.
I believe feedback is essential in therapy - I make an intentional effort to check-in with you about your experience and progress throughout our work together. I value meaningful relationships and connecting with others, and I find that the best therapeutic relationships often occur when we both lean into vulnerability (and laughter!). Above all else, I am passionate about creating an environment of collaboration and I am excited to support you in moving towards your goals!
On a personal level: my friends have described me as an optimist - I am energetic, thoughtful, and tend to see the silver lining in many situations. I am also a 200-hr Certified Power Yoga Instructor! Outside of the office, I am usually spending time with my husband, goldendoodle puppy (Kendi!), reading, watching Netflix, or spending time outdoors with friends/family!
